I’m looking into having a tummy tuck after I give birth but my fiancee is being awkward about it?
Elle G asked:
I am normally against cosmetic surgery but I developed anorexia when I was 9 and I have relapsed a couple times. After the birth of my son I ended up in hospital and I was close to being tube fed. I’m currently pregnant with quads and I’m worried that after having them I’ll relapse as I’ll feel fat and useless all over again. I think the tummy tuck will help prevent that but my fiancee really doesn’t want me to have one even though I’ve explained why I want one. He says he doesn’t want to see me being tube fed or back in hospital for being anorexic but he also says he doesn’t want to run the risk of me dying whilst being operated on.
Should I go ahead with it or should I listen to my fiancee?

do what feels right for you if a tummy tuck will help then go for it
Well a tummy tuck is less dangerous than starving yourself to death. Tell your fiance you respect his opinion but it’s your decision and he should respect it.
listen to him you do not want a tummy tuck. hard to recover and major horrible scar
Do what’s right for you. After all, you have to look yourself in the mirror every morning and live in your body.
I’m not against the surgery, especially if you really are having Quads but you need to see a therapist first to work out your emotional issues. Also, your fiance loves you and your body so you should consider whatever opinion he has.
And when you decide to go for the tummy tuck (let’s be serious, after having Quads, you have no other option), please wait until the babies are at least 2 years old. It will be difficult to recover with babies around the house.
God bless.
