That’s very common in early pregnancy. Both of mine were transverse at the 20 week ultra sound and when i was 40 weeks they had gone into the “head down” position.
with you at 20 weeks the baby is still small and can move around in all different types of positions so i would not worry about it try laying on each side or shifting your belly a little to see if the baby will turn a little
Pretty common. At this point there’s a lot of room for baby to move around. I think they’re usually heads down by what, 28 weeks?
At my last ultrasound (18w) the baby was already heads down – I hope it stays that way!
My baby was transverse going into the third trimester. S/he turned downward but was then posterior (belly-up). That worried me about back labor, but then s/he rotated into the anterior (ideal) position and has stayed there.
My advice? Don’t worry. Very few babies are born transverse and yours still has PLENTY of time and room to move around, even doing somersaults (which feel like your whole body is turning inside out at that stage!). Trust your baby to do what he has to do. He will get comfy when it’s time.
Yes, both of mine were transverse also at about 20 weeks. it is not uncommon at all., They are still very small and usually turn around to the normal position as they get larger just before the birth.
Very common early on.
At 20 weeks he’s till so tiny, he can lay whatever way he wants.
However, as he grows, he’s not going to be very comfty lying that way and will most likely go headdown.
(it’s very rare for babies to lie transverse once they are full term. They’re much more likely to go head down or breech)
