What is the difference between a c-section and a tummy tuck?

Not to be rude, but i think its bullcrap when women get c-sections for no reason. If its a medical reason and your doctor says you need to, then thats a different story. Women who do that just dont want to go through the pain of labor and birth and its crap because if they cant do it the right way then they dont need to get pregnant in the first place, they know how babies are born.
well its a little different when theres a baby in there. Sometimes its just safer to do a c section. some women cant handle the pain. Ive given birth twice and its no fun, im pregnant with my 3rd and will have a c section cuz my last one is paralyzed in his arm for life cuz he was so big and got stuck and it tore his nerves. The doc said he will do a scan at the end and if the baby was normal size then i could deliver naturally but im still choosing the c section.

I have been wondering similar things. Doctors have been pushing the fact that c-sections are safer after a previous c-section… so I did my own research and found this to be untrue! It is healthier for the baby to be born vaginally for so many reasons. I think an elective c-section REALLY needs to be thought out. If you want a tummy tuck and put your own life in danger and understand the risks fine do it. But risking the life/health of your child because you don’t want pain or want the convenience of knowing when you will be in labor… it kinda upsetting.
In the US it is completly socially acceptable to have an elective c-section… and we schedule c-sections if you had a previous c-section…
(I DO think c-sections are great things when needed. My son was a c-section and it possibly saved both our lives… But with this baby I do want to give a “trial of labor”)
